Jermaine Faith grew up with a cabinet full of books, a chest full of drawing supplies, and as adults would later say disapprovingly (it was only cute as a child),

a head full of unrealistic notions to change the world.

Despite the popular belief that art is one of the least direct ways to change anything or anyone, she’s recently received an AFA degree from Sandhills Community College and is currently pursuing an illustration concentration at UNC Charlotte.

Born in a bustling province in the Philippines and raised in a rural town in North Carolina, much of her work deals with cultural identity and the reconciliation of both worlds.

Her aspirations include attaining a BFA degree in illustration, eventually creating graphic novels and (epic!) children’s books. (To this end, she still has unrealistic notions of changing the world.)
